Chunky Sleeveless Turtleneck
A fully fashioned sleeveless turtleneck knit in a nubby 100% cotton with an exaggerated stitch that gives the texture and character of a hand knit.
Two strands of cotton are knit together on our hand-powered loom using a specialized technique that creates the chunky, open texture while allowing the silhouette to be shaped directly on the machine. The sleeveless armholes are fully fashioned for a clean, sculpted fit through the shoulders.
The ribbed turtleneck is picked up directly from the body of the knit rather than sewn on separately, creating a continuous, clean finish. Designed to stand softly at the neck or fold down for a more relaxed fit.
Cream silk ribbon is whip stitched by hand along each side and left loose below the raw hem as a finishing detail.
Substantial on its own but easy to layer under a jacket, the silhouette falls to a natural mid-length rather than a cropped fit.
